I was trying to keep the dail plan dead simple and keep voice dial plan management at basically zero. Funny thing is not once did I ever hear a complaint of not being able to abbreviate dial another PBX user. I think Telecom can be paralyzed by the thought of people not being able to do abbreviated dialing. But with all the complexities of overlapping dial plans, site codes and everything else, when it is replaced with a better end user experience in my opinion it’s soon forgotten by users.
